CES Provider Join

The Primary Point of Contact for potential Passport, Professional and Architecture Firm providers can join the AIA's Continuing Education Services through the online CES Provider Join Application by following the steps below. 


Note:

Potential Component, Platform, Partner, and National providers must directly contact AIA to join.

Step 1: PPOC Signs up through Universal Login

Once you click on the URL, you will land onto the Universal Login page.  As a new user, click on the "Sign Up" option.


On the next screen, you will be prompted to enter information to create your new AIA record and Universal Login account.


Once all fields have been completed, click the Sign Up button. 


This will take you to a popup requesting that you confirm your account though an emailed link. 


Please check your email and click on the highlighted link to confirm your account. 


This will guide you to a confirmation message.  Once received, access the Join link again to be directed to the landing page of the CES Provider Join application.

Note: You may need to log in with the newly created Universal Login credentials


You will see tabs at the top that will take you through a step-by-step process to complete your Join application online.


At the bottom of the page, you can reference affixed subscription information and details throughout the entire CES Provider Join online process.



Step 2: Complete Application

Note:

All fields with a red asterisk are required in order to move forward to the next tab.


Primary Point of Contact tab

Enter information for the Primary Point of Contact.  The information saved under your Universal Login account will serve as the barebones to the AIA contact record.  This information will already be populated.  Add any additional information for the Primary Point of Contact here.  Click "Next" when finished.


Organization tab

Enter information for the Organization tab.  


The Organization Type chosen will map to different subscription types.  Please select the appropriate organization type:


For the Phone field, there is a requirement of 10 digits. 


Once all available information has been entered, click "Next".


Subscription tab

On the Subscription tab, you will be presented with the subscription type under which you qualify. 

Passport subscriptions are automatically approved online.


Depending upon the subscription type, you will be asked Qualifying Questions to verify your subscription.

  • For Professional providers, you will be asked to further describe your organization through the list in the dropdown.

Also, documentation to verify your selection can also be added to the application by clicking on "Upload Files" or "Or drop files."


  • For Architecture Firm providers, select "Yes" or "No" to validate whether or not the provider account has an AIA member in good standing as the principal or owner.

If you selected "Yes," enter the AIA number of the principal or owner. 


Once satisfied with the subscription type and the validating information/documents submitted, click "Next" to confirm the information.  On the Confirm Details page, all information can be confirmed.

If there is any item that needs to be updated, utilize the Previous button to scroll back to the tab that needs updates and change the necessary information.  Once you navigate to the next page, the previously submitted information can no longer be updated.  Click "Next" once satisfied with information submitted.  


Secondary Point of Contact tab

If there is a secondary point of contact to be added, select "Yes" in order to submit information for the individual. 

Note: If there is no secondary point of contact to add, select "No" and click "Next" to move to the Additional Users tab.


This selection will prompt informational fields to display.  Enter all available information for the Secondary Point of Contact, and click "Next" to add any additional users.


Additional Users tab

Enter information for the Additional Users by selecting the Create New User radial button.  

Note: If there are no CES Users to be added, select "Done Creating Users and click "Next" to go to the Provider Statement. 


Click "Next" to display the informational fields for the additional users.


Once you have completed this information, click "Next."  


Once satisfied with the list of additional CES Users, select "Done Creating User(s)" and click "Next" to continue to the CES Provider Statement. 

Note: This process can be repeated by continuously clicking the "Create New Users" option and entering details for each additional CES User.


Provider Statement tab

Read, review and enter your first name and last name to attest to the CES Provider Statement.

Enter your full name to attest to the CES Provider Statement.  


Select a Date from the calendar options.


Click "Next" once these fields have been completed.


Confirmation tab

This tab will give the results of the submitted application:

  • For Passport providers, the confirmation tab will confirm the subscription and allow the primary point of contact to process the provider payment (Skip to Step 5).
  • For Professional and Architecture Firm providers, the submission of the application will be confirmed with the message that there will be follow up within the next five days.



Step 3: CES Admin Approval Process

You will then receive an email letting you know your application has been submitted and a CES Admin will review and respond within two to five days.  The CES Admin Approval process will be completed offline by a CES Admin.  Upon completion, you will be contacted again with the results of your review.

If you are approved for your selected subscription type, you will receive an Approval email with the payment link to complete the payment process. Please see the sample email below:


If you are not approved for your selected subscription type, you will receive an Approval email approving your application for the Passport subscription type along with the payment link to complete the payment process. 



Step 5: Process Payment

The payment link will direct you to the checkout page.  The Card Holder Name will automatically populate with your first and last name.  


Enter the remaining payment details. Complete the payment by clicking on the "Process Payment" button.  


If successful, you will be presented with a confirmation page, including the option to "View Receipt".
