Required 2030 Commitment reporting fields

The 2030 Commitment requires the projects be updated for every reporting year or when a project moves to a new phase of design. Current applicable phases in the DDx are:

  • Schematic Design

  • Design Development

  • Construction Documents

  • Construction Administration

  • Concept

Required fields for DDx reporting

Setting up a new project for reporting should take less than 20 minutes; while updating data, if only required fields, should only take a few minutes. The following fields are required for 2030 reporting:

  • Project name

  • Project number - you can create your own, if you do not the DDx will assign one

  • Project status

  • Project type

  • Construction type

  • Office location

  • Project country

  • Project state

  • Project city

  • Postal code for projects in the US, Canada, China and India

  • Climate zone - this will be auto-populated based on the project postal code

  • Use type 1

  • Measurement units

  • Estimated occupancy year

  • Energy code

  • Energy baseline

  • Energy baseline source

  • Energy target - for information on setting your own targets see the Set a Project EUI Target page

  • Reporting phase

  • Reporting year

  • Predicted lighting power density (LPD) for Interior only projects

Conditionally required design data fields

The following fields are conditionally required if filling in specific design data.

Predicted Energy Use for energy-modeled projects (fuel source reporting is highly recommended but not required):

  • Energy modeling tool

  • Energy modeling party

  • Gross pEUI

  • Net pEUI

Predicted Lighting Power Density:

  • Predicted LPD in watts/ft2

Embodied Carbon (reporting data for each scope is highly recommended but not required). The following fields are required in alignment with the ECHO Schema:

  • Embodied carbon modeling year

  • Total project area in m2

  • Embodied carbon modeling tool

  • Embodied carbon modeling time

  • Embodied carbon modeling party

  • Number of stories above grade

  • Number of stories below grade

  • Height of building in feet

  • If not filling out the embodied carbon table, with its autopopulated embodied carbon intensity calculation, then the total GWP intensity in kgCO₂e/m2 should be filled in using the override function to activate the field.
