Updating profile permissions via page layout update

In this example, we are removing the ability to create and process a refund from the AIA Standard User Profile. Screenshots below and additional information can be found on the Fonteva User Guide.

Set up a new page layout to assign to the AIA Standard User Profile.

1. Click on the Setup gear icon in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
2. Click on the Object Manager tab at the top of the screen.
3. Search for and click on Receipt.
4. Click Page Layouts on the left side of the screen.
5. Click 'New'
6. Existing Page Layout = 2018-R2-Receipt Layout and then enter a name.  Suggested naming convention would be to name it the same as the profile or something else meaningful.
7. Click Save.
8. Drag button and actions for Create Refund and Process Refund from the bottom of the screen to the very top section.
9. Click Save.

Assign the new layout to a profile

1. Click on the Setup gear icon in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
2. Click Users on left side of screen.
3. Click Profiles on left side of screen.
4. Click the name of the profile you want to apply the new page layout to. In this example, AIA Standard User.
5. Scroll down to Custom Objects Layouts.
6. Find Receipt and click on it.
7. Click Edit Assignment.
8. Click the 'AIA Standard User' profile name.
9. Then click the drop-down arrow next to Page Layout to Use and select AIA Standard.
10. Click Save.
