Welcome to the April edition of the Fonteva User monthly update. This month, it’s all about the Chapter Portal.
What’s new and improved?
Chapter Portal
- The new Portal Commons section includes important information to keep you informed. Work in Progress and the Roadmap should not be missed!
- “My Chapters” is exactly what it sounds like...a navigational/content tweak we hope you find more intuitive as you navigate.
- Yellow is not our favorite color! These new banners, which complement the new Portal Commons section draw your attention to additional important information and reminders. If not already, yellow will be loved, eventually (we hope)!
- We want to hear from you! You may continue to email us at digitalsupport@aia.org. And/or, you may choose to provide feedback by way of survey (black lower screen widget) and/or tell us how we’re doing or how we can further assist by clicking on the red “feedback” icon (right hand margin widget). In advance, thank you for allowing us to support you, and for making us better.
- On the Membership tab (just below reports), demographic specific charts have been returned. Your Board may appreciate the visuals!
- Several reports within the Membership and Retention tab have been improved and are available for use. Please be advised (and noted in Portal Commons), the CES Audit and Lapsing report will yield results once those respective processes are run in April.
What’s up next?
As always, you may refer to Work in Progress and the Roadmap as these documents are updated regularly. In case you don’t have the time to review them now, be advised improvements to the Transfer and Upgrade report and ACH report (refunds) are in progress as we speak. We hope to have all three completed in April. In the interim, email digitalsupport@aia.org for immediate assistance.
Additionally, other features and functionality are in progress too. Those details are a surprise! Well, not really as they are named in the aforementioned documents. Take a look!

Customer Success (formerly Product Success)
Welcome to the March edition of the Fonteva User monthly update. As always, we welcome your feedback. If you have ideas about items to include in these updates, please reach out to us at digitalsupport@aia.org.
Chapter Portal Reports
In case you missed it, here’s where we are on Chapter Portal reports.
The Full Member Roster report was recently updated based on the feedback we received. We are also tweaking the other reports of which have been temporarily disabled and expect them to be re-enabled in the coming weeks. Updates will be sent out on a regular basis through email, Component Relations bi-weekly emails and on the Chapter Portal Wiki page (www.aia.org/fonteva).
Action requested: Please review the Full Member Roster and let us know if it meets your needs. Your feedback is important and of great value to us. We would appreciate hearing from you.
If you have urgent reporting needs beyond the Full Member roster report, please contact digitalsupport@aia.org.
My Account
As a reminder, members can manage their contact information, education and career details on their own through My Account. If you choose, you no longer have to direct inquiries to memberservices@aia.org. Simply, direct them to aia.org.
Here’s how members can update their information:
- Log into aia.org. Member will automatically be dropped into My Account
- Click the ‘Edit’ link in the red Manage box on the right-side of page.
- Click ‘Change’ link next to section you want to update.
- Make updates and click ‘Save’.
Updating email addresses
We strive to be of service to our members and that includes helping them with some of the most mundane tasks such as updating an email address. But the greatest service we can provide is to protect their information and this new process is another step in that direction.
When your member requests an email change, direct them to log into aia.org which will by default drop them into My Account. They will choose “Edit” in the Manage tile within My Account.
Next, members will choose “Email” in the lefthand margin. Followed by selection of “Preferred Email Type” and input of the corresponding new email address, and “Save.”
At the new email address, your member will receive a communication which includes an embedded link that must be clicked within 24 hours of receipt. This last step will finalize the email change process and permit the member to log in using the new/preferred email.
