Add Collaborators

Collaborators can be individuals inside or outside your company or external companies that you want to grant read-only or editing permissions for specific projects. Collaborators can be added to or removed from a project at any time.

Collaborators can be added from the Manage Projects in the Portfolio tab, by clicking the three dots at the far right of a project.

A pop-up will appear, where you select the type of collaborator: Company or Individual.

Individual Collaborator:

When selecting Individual collaborator, you can search by email for other users and select the collaborator and desired permission level of read-only or edit. Internal collaborators from your own company will default to edit permissions, but can be changed to read-only.  If the user is not yet in the DDx, you can select Try Invite Instead, which will open a pop-up to fill out the user’s first name, last name and email address, and select the permission level. Clicking Invite to Collaborate will generate an email invitation.

If the user is already in the DDx, you can find them through their name or email and select the permission. Clicking Invite will generate an invitation.

Company Collaborator:

In this new function, you can now share projects with entire companies, eliminating the double effort and confusion on which should be reporting certain projects.

When you select Company, you type in the firm you're searching for and select (Note: this Company must already have an existing DDx profile). Once selecting the firm, under Contact, a list of the firm's Administrators (see more on DDx user roles here) will appear, prompting you to select one.

After selecting the user, please select the Permission type: Read Only or Edit.

The project will now appear under the User's Portfolio and under the Company tab under Manage Projects.

Now, under Collaborators, you will see either the Individual or Company listed, the status of your invitation (Accept or Pending), and the type of Permissions they have (Edit or Read only). In order to change the type of permissions, you must delete the collaborator and re-add them with the new type of permission.Â
