Approach to Documenting Permissions for AIAÂ
- Our Approach is going to be phased.Â
- We will approach this object by object.Â
- We will begin with the Contact ObjectÂ
For the Contact ObjectÂ
Note: Full AIA Sandbox will be used as source of truth for Objects fields and Page LayoutsÂ
- First determine what fields fall under the page layout sections shown in green row (Main, Membership, Primary Contact, Address etc.) .Â
- Create a Base Profile (We will keep this on the side and add permission sets to it)Â
- Cross-check to see if a Profile already exists that grants and restricts the fields as requested.Â
- Create a Permission Set based on:Â
- No Profile was found that meets the exact criteriaÂ
- Existing Profile gives more permissions than is requiredÂ
- Existing Profile gives Less permissions than is requiredÂ
- Assign the Base Profile to each teamÂ
- Assign Permission Sets as neededÂ
