Approach to Documenting Permissions for AIA
Our Approach is going to be phased.
We will approach this object by object.
We will begin with the Contact Object
For the Contact Object
Note: Full AIA Sandbox will be used as source of truth for Objects fields and Page Layouts
First determine what fields fall under the page layout sections shown in green row (Main, Membership, Primary Contact, Address etc.) .
Create a Base Profile (We will keep this on the side and add permission sets to it)
Cross-check to see if a Profile already exists that grants and restricts the fields as requested.
Create a Permission Set based on:
No Profile was found that meets the exact criteria
Existing Profile gives more permissions than is required
Existing Profile gives Less permissions than is required
Assign the Base Profile to each team
Assign Permission Sets as needed
