Create a wiki article/page

A wiki article/page can contain multiple actions or instructions to preform a task.  The page should include content from detailed articles if possible. The page can use one or two options for pulling content from a detail article.  

  1. The Excerpt Include macro will insert content marked in a page using the excerpt macro.

  2. The Include Page macro will pull the entire detail article page into the page.

Step-by-step guide

 

  1. Using the Excerpt Include marco

a.  Select the + (plus sign) on the top menu bar to get the drop down menu to access macro

 

b. Scroll down the drop down menu to select Other macros

 

c. Enter excerpt and select Excerpt Include.

 

d. Enter the page that contains content excerpt and select the page from the list.

 

 

e. To view how the selected page excerpt will display select Preview.

 

g. If you do not want to see the Surrounding Panel, the Page Name, select Remove Surrounding Panel and then select Preview to see how the content will be displayed.

h. Select insert to have content included on the page.  The excerpt include macro content appears below.

 

 

2. Using Include Page Macro.

a.  Follow steps 1 a. and 1 b. to get search menu for macros.

b. Enter excerpt and select Include Page.

 

c. Enter the page you wish to include and select the page form the list

 

d. Select Preview to view the page and it's content which is being included.

 

e. Select Insert to add (include) the page content, the included page is displayed below.

Note: the Page Name will not be displayed and the all remaining content is displayed including Info and Related article sections is present.

If there are multiple excerpts on a page use Multiexcerpt Include macro to be able to specify the excerpt to include.  Additional resources from confluence:
