Creating/Adding a sponsor to an event

Your event may have sponsors. Sponsor information (name, logo, description) can be found on the Sponsors page.

Sponsor records are automatically created for any Account that purchases a Sponsor PackageSponsors related list on the Event Record.  


Step-by-step guide

1  Display the Event Record Page to to add a sponsor.

Click/select the down arrow next to Events on the menu bar.


If the event is displayed, click/select the event to open the Event Record page.  If the event is not displayed select all to display the Events List page.


From the Event List page, click/select on the desired event (name).


2  Click/select Related to display related items for the event.


3  Scroll down to Sponsors.  Click/select the New button to the right of Sponsors.


4  Enter a Sponsor Name by clicking/selecting in the box below Sponsor Name and entering the name.  This is a required field as indicated by the red asterisk "*".


5.  Set the Account for the the sponsor.  Click/select in the box below Account and beginning typing the Account name.  This is a required field as indicated by the red asterisk "*".

 As you type, the potential accounts will display below.  When the account appears, click/select on the account.


6  Set the Contact for the sponsor.  Click/select in the box below Contact and begin typing the contacts name.  Potential contacts will appear below to select from as you type.  Click/select the contact when it appears.  This is a required field as indicated by the red asterisk "*".


7   Set the Sponsor Package, by clicking/selecting the box below Sponsor Package to display options.  Click/select the appropriate sponsor package from the list.  This is a required field as indicated by the red asterisk "*".


8  A Description can be added to the sponsor by clicking in the box and typing a description.  This is an optional field and not required.


9.  To set an Image (company logo) for the sponsor, a secure ("https://") location of an image or logo displaying the sponsor's name can be added.  The recommended image size is 274px x 274 px.  The file size should not exceed 250KB.  Click/select in the box and paste or type the URL.  This is an optional field but is required for the Sponsor to appear in the All Sponsors or Featured Sponsors components.


Important

This is required for the Sponsor to appear in the All Sponsors or Featured Sponsors components in the Lightning Event. Sponsor Images can also be uploaded directly to the Sponsor record in Event Builder, in the Sponsors tab on Sponsor Packages page.


10.  To Save the Sponsor and return to the Event Record Page, click select the Save button.


11.  To save and add another Sponsor, click/select the Save & New Button.  The Sponsor will be saved and the New Sponsor window will be open allowing for another sponsor to be added.


12.  To exit without saving the sponsor, click/select Cancel or the X in the upper right corner of the New Sponsor window.
