Creating venues

Venues designate the location(s) of the event.  One or more venues appear on the Venues Page by default in the form of the Primary Venue, Secondary Venue, and Venue Map components.  To 

Step-by-step guide

 1.  On the left-side navigation of Event Builder, click Venues.


2.  Click the + Add Venue button in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.


3.  Enter Venue Name and Check Primary Venue.


4.   Venue Description is an optional field, click in the box (where it say Type something), and enter the description for your venue.  This can be some additional information that would be helpful to the attendee.


5.  Enter the address by clicking in the box and start typing the address.  As the address is entered a dropdown box will display with suggestions based on the the text entered.  


When the address appears click/select the address.


6.  Click/select the check box for Display Map if it is desired to have a map display with a pin indicating the venue location on the event venue page.

7.  A image/picture of the venue can be add to display on the the event venue page.  The recommended image size is 400px x 400px.  Click in the box below Venue Image URL.   Paste a URL image or select the Browse button to upload a file

If uploading a file and Browse button selected.  Click/select the file and then click/select the Open button

The Crop image screen will display, click/select the Save button to save image.

 


8. Click/select Save & Continue to save the venue.   

NOTE: Cancel can be select to exit without saving the venue.


If additional venues are required for the event, repeat steps 2-8 for each additional venue.

Save event updates periodically

To make sure all entry's are saved to the event, click the Save button in the upper right to save the entries.

Venue information complete, select Save and Exit to exit the Event or continue to create speakers.


Manually Entering an Address

If it is preferred to manually enter the venue address instead of using the "type ahead" box.  The follow the steps below.  It is recommended to use the "type ahead" box as this will avoid any entry errors for the address.

1  Click/select the check box Enter Address Manually.  With the box checked the address fields will display and the address can be entered.


2  Enter Street, click/select in box and enter the street address.


3  Enter City, click/select in box and enter the city.


4  Enter the State, click/select in box and enter the state.


5.  Enter the Country, click in the box and enter the country.


6.  Enter the Zip Code, click in the box and enter the zip code.
