My Account (Member Self-Service Features)

The Login as User Experience gives Membership Support the ability to walkthrough and assist members in completing the self-service features of My Account.
- Only members should make edits using My Account
- AIA staff should only make edits directly to a Contact record in Fonteva
My Account Access
Step 1: Members should access My Account through AIA's website at www.aia.org by selecting "Login" on web page
Step 2: Member Sign's In through Universal Login
The Primary Point of Contact must create their Universal Login account by signing in online.
If the member has forgotten their password, they should select "Forgot password?" and follow online assistance provided.
Warning:
Contacts should not be created in Fonteva right now in order to prevent log in and duplicate issues. This is a temporary situation. Universal Login is still integrated with netFORUM, but once it has been transitioned fully to Fonteva, we will update you on this process.
Step 3: AIA staff member - Log in as User Experience
From the Contact record, select "Log in to Experience as User Experience" from the dropdown in the upper right hand corner. If this user does not have the Log in to Experience as User option, please send email to DigitalSupport@aia.org with member's name and AIA number (member number) with the request to enable the member user:
A. Collect any screenshots from the member of error message encountered and send to digitalsupport@aia.org (so that the issue can analyzed)
B. Once received, a review will be conducted to determine if their user account was automatically enabled or not, seek to identify cause and then Product & Technology team will have to manually enable the user account
C. Confirmation will be provided that the user account is enabled and Membership staff can reach out and follow-up with member.
Once clicking on the Log in to Experience as User option, the various communities will populate. Select the "Providers" community.
Step 4: Guide user (i.e., member) through self-service (viewable/editable) features of My Account (graphics are from Test Site, unless noted)
Production site - member URL after logging into aia.org/My Account: me.aia.org
Step 5: Walk user (i.e., member) through sections/fields (tabs) that can be edited
The user should click on "Change" to edit and once edit is complete user should select "Save."
My Account Self-Service Sections (tabs)

- Demographics
- Interests
Some fields are not editable by members in the the current version on My Account
Profile/My Info (in Production site): Scroll down to see the key contact data sections that may be edited (the label "Change" is in right upper hand corner):
- Name
- Address and Phone
- Directory
Email: Section is currently not editable
Education:
Licensure:
Career:
Demographics:
Interests:
A member can now directly edit some of their available information, but AIA staff should continue to make updates directly in Fonteva. Do not make changes to My Account while you're in the Login to Experience as User view.
